One cannot help but feel scared and overwhelmed after receiving a melanoma diagnosis. The challenges that patients, caregivers, family members, and friends face can be daunting and can continue even after treatment has ended.

Beginning in 2010, AIM at Melanoma began partnering with nationally renowned cancer centers across the United States to provide patient-friendly information on new developments, innovative advances in melanoma treatment options, and emerging therapies.  These symposiums also address the many unmet physical, emotional, and psychological needs of those who are touched by this disease.

AIM’s Living with Melanoma symposiums also provides melanoma patients, caregivers, families, and friends an opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar challenges and to learn from leaders in the field of melanoma on a variety of survivorship topics.

Past and current topics include: ImmunoOncology – PD1, Combinations and Beyond; Managing the Side Effects of Immune and Targeted Therapy; Healthy Living After Cancer: The Role of Physical Activity and Fitness, Diet and Cancer, Lymphedema and Other Physical Issues; Melanoma Screening and Early Detection; Financial Implications of Cancer; and Psychosocial Resources.

We understand that for a variety of reasons, individuals sometimes are unable to attend these events in person. In order to ensure that everyone in the community can access this information, we offer free live streaming access. After registering, those interested in joining via live stream will receive a URL so they can join the event. Only a computer (or smartphone/tablet) and a reliable internet connection are needed to access the live stream.  To learn more about how to Live Stream our symposiums, click Here.
